What is Live Cooking mode?
Start Live Cooking opens the recipe one step at a time in full screen, with its timers, the ingredients at your chosen servings, and your screen kept on. It is free for everyone.
Voice Chef adds hands-free control. Say "next", "go back", "go to step 4" or "start a timer", or ask a question out loud ("what can I use instead of butter?"), and it answers by voice. It reads a step out when you ask it to. Voice Chef is part of Chef’s Pass rather than the free tier, because each spoken exchange is a real AI request.
Steps are read using your chosen measurement system, so the numbers you hear match the ones on screen.
