How do I stop reminder emails?
Riff emails you when food in your kitchen goes off tomorrow, naming the food, so you can cook it before it goes to waste. Every account gets these, because that heads-up is what the kitchen is for, and turning them off takes one tap.
Either of these works straight away:
In any reminder, tap Turn off food reminders at the bottom. You do not need to sign in. The page that opens has one button, Turn off food reminders: press it and they are off, and the same page lets you turn them back on.
Signed in, open Account, then Preferences, and switch off Email me before food goes off. The same switch turns them back on.
While they are on, you get at most one reminder a day and no more than three in a week, and only when something in your kitchen has a use-by date of tomorrow, or of today if we have not mentioned it yet. Food without a date never sets one off.
A reminder uses only your account email and the use-by dates in your kitchen. Turning reminders off stops these emails and nothing else: notifications on your phone or computer have their own switch on the same page, and emails about your account or a purchase still arrive.
